    Election Posters

Sorry folks, but as long as Irish political parties are intent on making these an issue then that's what they'll remain as.

I ask you, how could you vote for the representative of a political party that can't abide by guidelines concerning adverts.

For South Dublin Council election posters at roundabouts are not permitted. As far as I know this goes for everywhere else.

The Council and relevant political parties were contacted today. If they're not removed within 3 days I'll be doing it myself. So if you see a black clothed guy at 2am next Monday morning, please keep moving if you're interested in effecient public service.

Heard today that the Clerk of the Course of the NorthWest 200 motorbike races is to look into having the posters removed from the route as there is a serious concern about safety at some points.

Hi I see in Donegal North East the Fine Gael party have issued directive that no postering be done in town of Letterkenny and also they are not doing ANY pole postering.
So maybe this is the way forward, well done.

    Why for, Westie?

Looking back on that, and staying true to my profession I'm placing the blame on the CAP.

Pole postering was agreed by all parties to remain outside town boundary,in order to assist tidy town local organisation.
This year the local FG organisation decided that they would not use any pole posters --HEALTH AND SAFETY.and in the interests i think of general public disquite re ouer postering.
Libertas were out here on Wed and saturated the entire towns and countryside with posters, erected by a Northern company i may say.

In my area, FG have posters on speed limit signs and directional signs, some of which are obscuring the directions.

The Labour Party candidate has a poster on a flyover, which is a real no-no.

Well then why is there a rather unmissable one of FG town council candidates on a signpost on the dual carriageway about 200 yards from the Dry Arch roundabout?!

I can't find a link to this election's posters but Bronwyn Maher's posters in Fairview bear an uncanny resemblance to Sarah Palin. Anybody else see them?
