Let me think ... perhaps some auld, political duffer who was pushed upstairs years back and is prepared to run out one last time for oodles of cash .... step forward Ian Paisley senior. LOL.

The balcony was half empty during Ganley's speech and there were empty seats on the ground floor too.
They have not posted a video for us to head count them.

Wałęsa later told the press that he did not support Libertas or Declan Ganley, but rather went to Rome "to speak about new solutions which could best serve Europe". He also told Polish radio that he had been paid a considerable amount of money to speak.
Libertas? Nein Danke! Say NO to Europe's New Right Wing: Lech Walesa says he does not support Declan Ganley or Libertas so he is just another Libertas buy-in doing it for the money

Well take clears that up

No, paying an honorarium to a guest speaker is generally standard practice, there is nothing unusual about it.

Its standard Practice? In that case can you give us an example of another political party paying a speaker at their own conference recently?

An 'honorarium' is one thing. A 'considerable amount of money' is another.

It doesn't look like Libertas got value for money though:

Wałęsa later told the press that he did not support Libertas or Declan Ganley, but rather went to Rome "to speak about new solutions which could best serve Europe". This photo shows just how sparsely attended the Libertas rally was.

Note the almost empty upper side gallery, same as in this photo.

The capacity of that gallery is approx. 129 (3 rows of seats X 43). There's a maximum of 15 people in the first photo, leaving approx. 114 empty seats.

1,133 (max. seated capacity of hall) - 114 = 1,019.

Take away the candidates (and their families in some cases), interns and interpreters, and you're left with about 800 actual supporters.

Paying for your guest speakers travel and accomodation and perhaps a gift (bottle of good wine, bunch of flowers or a small piece of crystal) is standard practice.. a cash inducement is not standard in my experience, especially for a political rally.

(We are talking about political speakers here.. not Twink or some other half arsed entertainer)

You hit the nail on the head. Its standard practice for a political rally to invite speakers and cover their costs - it is embarrassing to have to rent a crowd or keynote speakers for a political party's congress. Consistent with the hollow PR exercise that this sham campaign is.

For a political rally ??? Do you have a straight face when you write that?
Esp when 1/ You forced people (sorry members) to walk out of your conference.2/ You had so little clue that the League of Polish Families "members" would walk out and shout traitor, ie Libertas completely out of touch with its "members" 3/ Libertas inviting a guest speaker who says three days later that he does not support either your party or Declan Ganley.

Does that just look like complete political stupidity, naivety, amateurism?
The type of move a party you would not trust in government would make?

Lech is reported now as saying his 700 euro a month pension is why he did the gig Libertas? Nein Danke! Say NO to Europe's New Right Wing: Lech Walesa cites inadequate pension as reason for Libertas appearance

Libertas are pathetic,
Did de villiers also walk out?

Honorarium! You really are a spoofer, CM. Walesa himself stated that it was a "substantial" fee that was paid for his services. You really a a 3-card, CM.
