Well if we were to believe their claim that they have 200 candidates then their partners if they have partners make 400 ...................did we see a pghoto of all the candidates with Herr Ganley at any stage?

The all signed a covenant too? I missed that, touch of Carson with about 450 000 (idf we take the women's covenant into account.) less signatures.

Of course Lech was paid any union leader from the former "Soviet Union" would expect cash

Did anyone see an agenda - was there any debate of policy? There are a couple of speeches on the website - they hardly took a day.

    No Debate,

Ganley just sent out more spam
The bureaucrats in Brussels said it wouldn't happen. They said it couldn't be done. Nevertheless, Libertas' first-ever Convention has transformed the European Union election. By uniting the leaders of the ‘No’ campaigns on the European Constitution and the Lisbon Treaty, we are now the fastest-growing political movement across Europe.

The maximum seated capacity of the hall they hired is 1,133 but they might have been able to squeeze in a few more.

Poor old Lech needs the money it seems and Libertas aren't the only European party to share in the Lech loving. Just another hollow Libertas publicity stunt to mask the fact they have not and will not be able to have a coherent Europe-wide policy platform.

Confusion in Poland after Wałęsa’s Libertas address

Wałęsa, who rose to prominence as the legendary leader of the Solidarity trade union movement, told a packed convention of over 1,000 Libertas campaigners on May Day that "Declan Ganley and Libertas have the potential to change Europe for the better".
The former Polish president urged voters to "heed the Libertas message" and put citizens back at the heart of the European project.
Wałęsa later told the press that he did not support Libertas or Declan Ganley, but rather went to Rome "to speak about new solutions which could best serve Europe". He also told Polish radio that he had been paid a considerable amount of money to speak.

Hard to say what his position is really. Seems on both sides.

Is this all that Liebertas have left in the tank, buying up faded old politicians like a parody of some third-rate "I'm a celebrity get me outta here!" show.

Paying for your support is a bit sad isn't it?

The Walesa gig appears to be another Libertas balls up on the PR front .. it's going so well!

Polling data in the coming weeks will be fun.

Any word on their Euro candidate for Northern Ireland.. according to Paddy Agnew in Saturdays Irish Times they would be running a candidate in the six counties?
