    Joe Higgins Socialist Party Launches Euro Campaign

    For working people and the newly unemployed in Dublin, the Euro Election provide a brilliant opportunity to damn the disastrous policies of the Fianna Fail/Green Party Coalition. They carry no responsibility for the catastrophic economic crash caused by Fianna Fail sponsored greed, graft and profiteering in the property market. Yet they are being subjected to a savage assault on their living standards, services and even livelihoods, to pay for this crisis.

    The victims of the crisis in Dublin – the ordinary working men and women and those losing their jobs – should pay back Fianna Fail for the disastrous consequences of handing the economy over to speculators and profiteering chancers who bled young people for the price of a home and the big bankers who financed their racketeering. They can now wipe out Fianna Fail and wipe their feet on the Green Party who have cast themselves in the role of doormat for Fianna Fail.

    this is annoying, people hijacking the european elections instead of going out and finding the real issues that concern EUROPE

    save your revenge for a general election where its more appropriate

    From the launch press release
    Although the Euro Elections are to elect a Parliament that is to legislate on a Europe wide basis, it is inevitable and universally accepted, that the economic calamity in this State will be a vital factor in determining how people will vote and will dominate the campaign.

    Anyone who thinks otherwise is not living with reality. Joe will deal with European issues during the campaign - but you can bet that every candidate will be addressing the economic crisis in the country (and remember the depression is not just confined to Ireland).

    I know and its the attitudes of people that need to change but politicians that help when they headline a campaign with an attack on a national government

    in an ideal political world
    europe=europe
    national=national
    local=local

    But I'm not an idiot I know in Ireland all politics is local but when canvassers come I try to keep things European and its them that go off on a national speel

    Is this the same Joe Higgins that write's for the Thatcherite, Daily Mail, who during the 1984 miners strike, took a the views of the workers and treated them as toilet paper?

    Or someone else, champagne socialism...

    i miss hime BIG time in the dail, he'd make mince meat of cowan now. the only problem is if he DID get back in without a technical group to back him up he wouldnt have a voice.

    ironically he might get a bigger platform in europe.

    Is there like some random word generator for Trots that people on the Far Left use when putting together press releases, speeches or posting on internet forums? Roll the clock back to any point over the last forty years, or any point in the next forty years and you'll see the same randomly-generated words used to fill out speeches and press releases for the Far Left then.
