It seems to me that the subtle FF message that the other crowd are no better is getting through, and I really dread that.
They're not even being all that subtle anymore. Two days ago I had the FF candidate on the door telling me that there really wasn't an alternative to FF in national government. The sheer arrogance is remarkable and reaffirms everything I suspect about them being incredibly media savvy and way more capable of manipulation and subversive tactics than people would think.
Realistically speaking, if the majority of humanity remain non-believers, it doesn't matter. No problem! The problem is that the majority of humanity have lost or ignore the deeper human values - compassion, a sense of responsibility. That is our big concern.

I was thinking more in terms of a GE.

Yes I suppose FF will get hammered in the locals, but the long game is the important one, and a lack of any counter arguments by FG to the FF mantras and mind games will be a disaster for this country. FF might just get back in some form or another if there is not enough fight by the current opposition.

The only subtle part is when they pretend to want to vote for someone else - its a long term strategy - keep telling people there's no alternative in the hope of getting the uncommitted voter to stick with mammy.

If a poll included the question:

" Do you think the opposition would be any better than the current Government?"

I guess the answer would be no. Loaded question maybe, but that is what FF are doing, loading the mantra. Subtle in some ways I think, keep hammering that idea at them, and we are home and dry.

I will seriously have to consider leaving this country (the last thing I want to do) if FF get back in, seriously.

So, if yuu vote FF you endorse flummery and foolishness like Cowan saying "INBS is of syatemic importance to the country". Crap.
Don't forget that the problemd go back to at least 2002 with that tosser McCreevy throwing cash to the winds not only to buy the 2002 election but the 2007 one as well. And Ahern supported him and led the charge. Ahern, McCreevy and Cowen should be tried for treason. And they must be wiped out in the upcoming elections to drive the message home.

I was run off the door this evening, I was somewhat confused but shrugged it off. I was a couple of doors down and the same man approached me to apologise. He said the he had made a mistake and it was only when he closed the door that he realised I wasn't FF!
