Deutschland says Libertas Nein Danke as Libertas fail in Germany bid for EU

In Lithuania one of the country's top lawyers and one the Lithuanian president's closest advisors are running for Libertas.

Is it a real advisor this time, or a sham one, like Ganley's claim to be an economic advisor to the Latvian government? (It turned out he was an unpaid hanger on to a junior minister for a short period of time, one of a large number, none of whom had any influence. It is a bit like a hanger on around Minister Hoctor calling themselves an "advisor to the Irish government".)

Maybe you are in denial about it, but at this stage even other No campaigners take everything Libertas claims not with a pinch of salt but with a bucket of salt.

In Latvia the former prime minister is running for Libertas along with 8 others, former ministers, academics, economists and business.

In the Czech Republic, two members of the current governing party and a sitting MEP will run for Libertas.

One candidate in France is well know, but the rest are purposely ignored. There are about 50 candidates in Germany and also a candidate in Malta and Declan and Ray O'Malley in Ireland. Italy, Spain and the UK to be announced soon.

The list goes on and on. No nazis, no right wing monsters etc...

Oh give over. de Villiers is right wing for sure but he's not the crazy far right monster you've been trying to make him out to be. All his politics wouldn't be my cup of tea but if he's the worst you can come up with I think we're fine.

As for Poland, there is one bloke who is a former member of the LPR who is an active member of Libertas.
It's not what you want it to be, I know, and I am sorry Libertas isn't the resurrection of the NSDAP which you are so desperately trying to make it out to be but it's just not. I'm sorry, I know it's a disappointment for you but there is nothing we can do about that.

Slightly disingenuos: Gutkowski was elected to the Mazovian regional assembly on an LPR ticket, he was an active and leading member of All-Polish Youth and he's been involved in controversial financial dealings in respect of Akademia Orla.

He's not just an ordinary member either.

He's one of the seven representatives of Libertas who they claimed signed documents supporting its application for registration as an European-level political party.

Hardly just 'one bloke'.

It is hard to know why he is even posting this stuff it is so widely reproted in newspapers both here an din the various countries concerned.

what you may take from this is that the Libertas pollsters have worked out that they are cruising fro a bruising in any country that becomes aware of the right wing fringe they have recruited in Europe. ormed in 1989, it contested both the European elections of 1989 and 1994 without success. In 1999, it obtained six seats, led by Jean Saint-Josse who was at the top of the list. It lost all representation at the following election to the European Parliament in 2004, when it obtained less than the minimum 3% of votes that allow a party to be reimbursed for campaign expenses. Consequently, it faced a deficit of 300,000 euros. At one stage, it had 32 regional councillors, but lost all of them in that same year. After these problems, most members of the CPNT have joined the UMP or the Movement for France, but the party is still in existence, and nominated Frédéric Nihous, a hunter from Northern France, as a candidate in the Presidential election of 2007. Nihous won 1,15% of votes only, much lower than Jean Saint-Josse in 2002.

Don't confuse the French ruling-class with "the French". Remember 1789.

As for concerns about "Islamcisation" in France, I think it is a widely-felt concern below the surface among mainstream Europeans. Tell me how many true democracies are found in the Muslim world, and how many of them allow women to vote. You don't have to be on the Far Right to share those concerns. Every week I turn on Sky I hear of the umpteenth suicide-bombing in some Muslim country. You can't expect people to just ignore that. It's on a vastly larger scale than what the IRA did. Such concerns do not reflect bigotry based on religion on the part of Westerners - rather, they reflect a reaction to actual events in the Muslim world, as well as concern as to how these traits might manifest themselves in Europe via mass-immigration. The Euro-elites do not want to discuss this issue, but ordinary folks do.
