    Time goes by, so slowly......

RTÉ is gearing up (and so are we, incidentally) for the Elections next year.

RTE will measure the crucial coverage given to the political parties in the election campaign in a new way - by factoring in the size of the audience for programmes.

Five minutes spent on Pat Kenny's 'Late Late Show' will be worth about the same as 10 in his radio studio.

A minute with Anne Doyle on the Nine O'Clock News will be worth ten minutes with Vincent Browne, a win win situation, surely?

The article, from this morning's Irish Independent is actually really worth a read.

How much for coverage on Questions & Answers though?

I don't think political advertising (other than Party Political Broadcasts) are allowed.

Any idea how appearances on 'The Restaurant' will be rated againat appearances on 'The Premiership'?

Aslo "Negative publicity will also still be counted as straight coverage.
"No publicity is bad publicity," the source said."

so that's Republican Sinn Fein done with for the next ten years.
That's complete nonsense. I disagree with you.

I wonder how much your election poster appearing on Prime Time is worth?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

Has anyone done a survey measuring the value of political interviewees compared to celebrities and people who have done interesting things? How much ad revenue would Bertie Ahern bring in compared to, say, Julia Roberts?
