In sean powers constituency, its a three seater with 2ff , ON THESE POLLS one would surely lose out.
But Power is the longer serving TD and the son of a TD and also a junior minister. Sean O'Fearghaill is the backbencher and surely more likely to go.
Two factors which alter this logic: The Power family base is really naas rather than anywhere in Kildare south, so the diehards might be the wrong side of the line for power, while O'Fearghaill has a big geographical area to himself.
FG havent had a credible candidate in the consiituency since alan dukes lost his seat and their is no one obvious now.
Jack wall is the labour TD in the constu=ituency and I would be surprised if he runs agauin. Those factors might save FFs two seats.

Batt if he's popular locally, is likely one of the ministers with the highest satisfaction ratings. He's performing quite well in education and is very balanced in his approached.

I'd be very surprised if he lost out.

The two Green minister will be very vulnerable. I'm not sure if they'll attract the transfers they normally get.
Mary Hanafin is vulnerable also. Part of her base is now in Dublin South (maybe she will run there?) and also the portfolio she holds has potential to be one of the most unpopular.
Already flags are being flown in the wind regarding cutbacks in social welfare. Not just the figures 'released' last week but also the crackdown on cross border welfare fraud.
The comparisons with welfare payments in the North and here were quite stark. There was some difference in some cases the welfare was 3 times better in the South.

Martin Cullen must be in danger considering all the job losses in Waterford and the various helicopter trips being taken.

I would be surprised if helicopter trips warrented a defeat for the 'Minister for Waterford'!
