Euro election north and west who will run

I was wondering if anyone knew if labour or greens have a candidate in north and west and will there be anyone from Clare, Roscommon, Leitrim Monaghan or Cavan? It seems like a great chance with Galway/Mayo and Sligo/Donegal looking to be very crowded.

Apparently Fine Gael are anxious to add Dr. John Barton to their ticket.

Looks like Joe Mc Hugh is putting his name forward, articulate and hard working TD with one of the highest profiles in FG.He would attract the young voters,he 's been awarded best dressed politican in Dail. Potential cabinet minister also.

Doubt the Greens will: no money and no chance = no point.
Thanks to the poster who taught me to use the ignore list!

Welcome to politics.ie Joe (or is it Olwyn? ).

Nine posts and nearly all of them about either Joe or Olwyn's political future as an MEP.

Incidentally, the constituency now also includes Longford and Westmeath, which would make the concentration of Mayo, Galway and Donegal based candidates even more skewed.

Rumours last year that Dana Rosmary Scallon would try to take her seat backbut she was all but invisible during the Lisbon campaign.
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

You cant argue that Joe Mc Hugh is on his way to the top in FG along with Olwyn, if not Europe then definite cabinet material for both. He should also be on front bench and rumours that campaign to get him on on front bench from supporters in Donegal. Kenny will have to take heed of grassroots feelings to get Joe to top table.
