It's one poll 4 years from an election in the middle of a PR disaster and a recession so don't soil yourselves ladies.

The poll just doesn't add up.

The Greens and the PDs up, FF down.

    In other words. Tis nonsense.

PPS. Anyone who thinks the PD vote is going to FG is in dreamland. All the FG vote in the PDs went a long time ago.

there is no doubt this is a slightly rougue poll.. You could add 5 per cent to the FF figure in an election and 2 per cent to Fine Gael.

No way would others get 8 or Sinn Fein 10 in an actual election.
Come January the 1% levy is going to kick in. I would say we should look to March next year before we get a true picture of voting intentions.

As for the greens : well, we know their natural cnstituiency of "to hell with people, hug a whale" will always vote for the biciling loons
i have no arguments with your essential point! however i dont see fianna fail cutting and running! didnt we see all this before...FF make a right mess of things...the opposion make tough choices when they get into government...choices that were necessary but then FF get back in and claim the credit! mid 90's...? sure inst that what happened?

An analogy which neatly illustrates your sense of the priorities. In fact, the Irish economy is part of the planet, and the effort we are expending in trying to protect the Irish economy is completely pointless if the whole game is going to change. It's not a case of either/or.

    61 + 28 = 89 ?

their core vote are their core vote! small parties like the greens will hold their core as they have done a lot on the environment to keep them happen, which was in essence the reason those people voted for them! no amount of a fiscal f*ck up will change that!

so long as the env is bein looked after, their core are happy! realistically...how many of the pensioners who Cuffe addressed actually voted Green?

The PDs are still getting a decent poll rating and if they have the stomach for the fight, there is a strong case for the party going on. If they fold, their poll share will go to FF, as any "wet" PDs, would have gone to FG by now.
