Talk is cheap but what's a socialist supposed to do in Cork North West? The only Reds hereabouts are the hurling team. Therefore FG must get my 2nd preference, though I can't tell them apart from the Final Failure party.I was part of a quite surreal discussion a while back where a local FG head attempted to tease out the divide between the big parties for the benefit of an English guy.The Civil War was no help and eventually he pronounced FG to be 'conservative' whilst FF was 'republican'.It being pointed out that we are all republicans -by the Englishman - the latter settled on 'Blue Tories' and 'Green Tories' for easy reference. The PDs could be 'Ultra violet' I suppose:you can't actually see them but they do a lot of damage.
