Senator Deirde De Burca to run in the locals in Wicklow

The word in Wicklow is that Senator Deirde De Burca is to run in the local elections next year. Her thinking is that if she takes the seat she will then step down as a senator in October allowing another green to take it.
They plan to pull out of Government shortly after that and there will be an election and she would have no title going into that election, So she needs to become a Coucillor.
She has failed to deny this when asked by the media.
This will cause major problems in the green party in Bray because when De Burca got nominated to the senate Ciaran o Brien was co opted onto the County Council and Steve Mathews onto Bray Town Council, De Burca is now going to restand for those seats throwing O Brien and Mathews to the side and they are not happy and are feeling used.

This comes from a very good source in the Green party and very close to De Burca.

Wow, this is explosive stuff. Don't you think you should go to one of the major media outlooks with your red-hot exclusive. I'd say you might even be able to make a few bob with your information.

Or maybe you're just making it up

Funny, she was well touted for a crack at the MEP seat in leinster... bit dubious about this.

More credible than any of the bullsh!t you post on here but it shouldn't be allowed as a thread if the only source in unverifiable.

I of course, provide links for all my posts.

I have no reason to make this up, she is only intrested in her own career and will cut anyones throat on the way.
She has been asked if it is true and she failed to deny it.

Perhaps because it's crazy? You do realise that the Greens leaving government wouldn't necessitate an election, since FF/PD/Ind already have a majority. Do you also realise that she wouldn't lose her Seanad seat because the Greens exited government? Your post is stupid because a) I know it's not true and b) it's based on ideas which aren't true.

Care to stand over that by naming yourself and your source? I think everyone else would be intrigued.

Re: Senator Deirde De Burca to run in the locals in Wicklow

In other news, Senator Dan Boyle has failed to deny that he was, after all, the second gunman on the grassy knoll. Said Boyle in a recent statement that I just made up "I just hate freedom". Also emerging (from the cesspit of my imagination) is the growing conflict between Green Ministers Ryan and Gormley, allegedly over minister Ryan's tendency to eat all the pink wafer biscuits served at cabinet. Said Minister Gormley (except he didn't) "I'm thinking about killing him, if he takes one more."
