    Where will Eddie Hobbs run?

Given the speculation in the Sunday rags that “Hype It Up” Hobbs is being courted by FG as candidate for a run at the next general election, where do posters here think he will go?

Anywhere he could top the poll. So nowhere is ruled out

Ah yes, paint Hobbs as a politically-motivated careerist. So much easier to dismiss him that way.

Can't you do any better, TK?

Eddie mightn't like just yet to join mainstream politics. However if he does he can't join FF/PD/SF. He is unlikely to join LAB and FG may just suit. Cork NC where FG will be chasing a second seat with Bernard Allen looks appropriate.

Perhaps his home constituency of Kildare South?
Ireland interests are best secured within a more dynamic EU. Vote YES to Lisbon.

Of course he's "careerist", he didn't purchase his stately pile on The Curragh on the average industrial wage!

His company Financial Development & Marketing Limited seems to be doing very well for its self, reporting a net worth of almost 150k for last year of which 91k was reported as cash on hand.

Though I doubt Bernard Durkan would welcome him with open arms to Kildare North, I image he'll be parachuted into Cork or more likely Dublin, my guess is Dublin Mid-West.

He lives in Kildare South so if he was ever to consider running that would seem to be a good bet. However, that's a big IF and he hasn't expressed any interest in politics up to now, so this seems like a typical FF attempt to discredit him by claiming he's out to get them for purely selfish, political reasons. He also has a fairly lucrative career, so why would he want to give all that up.

He may live in Kildare, but he's still a real cork langer!

I would be very surpised if Hobbs ran anywhere for anyone next time around.
