I hear Tommy Tiernan is thinking about running for Presidency. From the names I've heard who're interested I'd definitely vote for him.

What's this story about a 3k a night hotel suite about?

Craughwell was on Miriam O'Callaghans show yesterday talking about this. Apparently details about the Presidency, such, as these are exempt from FOI requests.

In Ireland we seem to have a rare talent for breeding hypocritical parasitic pond life at every level.
This guy Higgins quite - literally takes the biscuit.

I know we elected FF a few times in the knowledge that Haughey and Ahern were going to be Taoiseach. IMV they took a little more than the biscuit.

Some kind of regular spending report from the presidency might help deal with these issues, which strangely never seem to be raised except when an election is due. Although the event referred to was quite recent I understand.

"Mr Craughwell said he was contacted by a member of the public who was concerned about the potential cost of Mr Higgins's two-day stay in the Swiss city"

Of course you were, Ger! I wonder if I do a FOI request on that contact, will I get details of a letter or email, or the time of a phone call... or will Ger have to fess up that he's the concerned member of the public? How bitter is he that he dropped out of the election because he knew he had no support? Did "the concerned member of the public" go on Booking.com and see that one of the most expensive rooms cost €3k?

Craughwell is such a petty, bitter little no mark.
