As an independent candidate? Apart from the name she doesn't have a high enough profile. If she were up against the likes of Miriam O'Callaghan she wouldn't stand a chance.

It's a testament to Michael D that he's retained his popularity amongst the masses during a period when the Labour Party has been decimated politically.

When measured against the old adage that 'every political career ends in failure' at least she can point to where she tried and where she did make a stand.

That is a lot more than most career politicians in Ireland can claim right now.

One simple reason above all else. She's one of the few who has demonstrated she is not there just to toe a party line.

Might be in with a chance all right

    - but she has she enough emotional stability for the job?

She seems to take things to heart a lot

    - not a bad thing in and of itself

    - but when you are the POI

    - you have to remain tight lipped

    - and smile smile smile....

Still not the brightest tool in the FG box, HBAP? Hayes was elected last after multiple recounts. So far from heading the poll, as the presstitutes and FG shills said he would, he came last. And even then the margin between Hayes and Ryan was so narrow that another recount might have had a different outcome.

Isn't most of the abuse the current President gets dmfrom the right that he won't either and speaks his mind?

I wish people would make up their minds.

An FF candidate versus an independent?

Nah. That's just the usual propaganda that's run by the purveyors of listicles and press releases when they need to fill space.
