It also suggests that the carry on by Fitzgerald (couldn't remember key emails coz remembering = intervening) was fine and dandy to a large proportion of the electorate. Have to factor in that LV's prominence re Brexit/border stuff hasn't done him any harm.
There's also the possibility that the Frances stuff was what the Yanks call an "inside the Beltway" story, in which the political class gets all excited but the general public doesn't either care or see it's relevance. As an extension of that, FG were seen as not wanting an election, while SF and FF were seen as wanting one, and thus FG were more in tune with the public mood. At the end of the day though, it's more likely to be Brexit.

I like your honesty. Or, to put it another way, your willingness to reveal your sense that FG and the state elite can ride roughshod over Justice and anything else they goddam want to, without any fear of the state elite's insiders who get to 'audit', 'police' and 'hold them to account' for their behaviour.

We know it's almost always a total inside job anyway, but it's good that you're so open about it. For future reference.

Whoever has a row with a DUP Fundamentalist Unionist will always be popular among faux United Irishmen in the South.

Except when you are a serious United Irishman of course.

Leo and Simon are both doing an excellent job on Brexit. It is clear to see.
