    People didn't know his strong religious views first time they voted for him. He didn't reveal them until after the event, they'll know better next time around.

    They didn't know it in 2007 or 2011? - his religious views don't seem that strong if he kept them under wraps for years. After all he voted in line with FG manifesto commitments as outlined by Phil Hogan.

    None of the material put through our letter box from him even mentioned his religious beliefs until he joined Renua.

    I'm not a supporter, just happen to live in the same constituency.

    I understand but his Renua literature didn't mention his religious views either - Renua talked of free i.e non-whipped votes on matters of "Conscience", the careful to avoid any Humanae Vitae type of rhetoric.

    Eddie Hobbs and many others in Renua were openly pro-choice unlike TF.
