They were aiming for 45 seats. They've had their asses handed to them. They don't have sufficient seats to form a parliamentary team.

The low turnout should have worked in their favour.

I don't know why you had to deflect with whataboutery, you could comment on the substance of the tweet which seems to be based on an accurate fact that turnout was very low

Indeed- Macron is all behind the drive to war against the Russian Federation and Belarus, which if successful could be very bloody indeed and now that the Swamp has drained Trump of any real manhood he might have possessed might very well be.

Funny, their manifesto says pretty much the opposite. Have you read it?

Should, but what's actually great about the french system is the run off. It means if your preferred candidate is out (and given the hammering the socialists and the right got) you get to make a preference for your least worst option. Given the number of the established parties' candidates who fell at the first hurdle, that is what most likely contributed to the low turnout.

Has anyone got a link to the results? All I can find is commentary.

The strange thing here is that western electorates have taken to electing caudillos; with enormous hopes placed on one messianic man.
I am more than puzzled. How can a party formed a year ago have the party machine to take on the French equivalents of FF and FG? Answers welcome.
