Isn't a tax-take in the mid-30s of GDP, well, normal?

You supported one in France though. Actually you celebrated his victory.

Macron is. He's socially liberal and very neo-liberal. Sounds like the modern Tory party to me.

Sounds more like a French liberal than a French Tory to me.

The modern Tory party is neither socially liberal or economically liberal.

    New Scotland poll

    SNP 42%
    Lab 19%
    Con 29%
    LD 6%
    UKIP 1%
    Grn 2%

It wouldn't lead to all that many changes seats if it was true.

Despite losing support, the Lib Dems would take Dumbartonshire East. The Tories would take Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk, and probably Dumfries and Galloway

A number of seats would find themselves in the margin or error. Five for the Tories (Aberdeen South, Aberdeenshire West and Kincardine, Moray, Perth and North Perthshire, Renfrewshire East) and one for the Lib Dems (Edinburgh West).

All gains would be at the expense of the SNP.

    This is the poll

What it does to seats is just my interpretation of the swings. If there are regional differences (e.g. a smaller swing to the Tories in the Borders), the interpretation could be out.
