    "Always"?

No point being over-sanguine, Olli - there has been one notable exception.

Admittedly you have to go back 80-odd years for it, but when all is said and done all you need is one fox in the henhouse.

It was a real laugh at the fascists awaiting the reappearance of a little guy with a moustache to tell them what to do. Even a little gal would fit the bill.

Sorry, fellas, the Second Coming has been postponed indefinitely.

I feel so sorry for the Germans. They used to be such an amazingly creative and brilliant people and now they have been reduced to self-hating neurotic wrecks. It really is such a shame.

Bites the dust? I agree, the best way to undercut a hyperbolic Party's momentum is to counter it with the same hyperbole.

AfD is pretty much a single-issue party - as long as uncertainty over immigration and migrant incidents increase, so too will their support base.

That can only possibly go up, not down. Little chance of those issues going away any time soon.

The complete disregard for the Dublin Treaty and the wholesale welcoming of undocumented migrants is completely against the basic tenets of the EU.

Germany undermining a European Treaty due to its "feelings of solidarity" towards refugees while simultaneously counting Saudi Arabia and Turkey among its biggest partners in arms dealing while basically going to Brussels and demanding that other EU nations copy its bizarre plan to import refugees has corrupted the very idea of what the European Union was supposed to be.

Structural, long-term development is one of the key goals of the EU. Helping Nations help themselves rather than turning countries into basket cases. Syrians weren't fleeing Syria in droves previously before that "democracy" experiment went off the rails.

The only long-term solution to the Migrant crisis is to give these people their homes back. Picking the best and brightest Syrians/Iraqis and depriving those lands of their most talented individuals guarantees they will remain basket cases.

The EU didn't turn its back on Germany. It was essentially Germany and its one-man band antics of trying to completely overhaul sovereignty that has corrupted opinion on them.
