Independents' Network - online hub for Independent candidates; launches Sunday March 30

The sounds constructive. An online hub for independent candidates -

Independents' Network | An Online Hub for Independent Politicians in Ireland

They have a common document agreed:

    http://issuu.com/catherinemurphytd/d..._united_vision

With 22% in this evening's RedC poll, support is substantial and steady.

Can they shake up the party system?

Looks decent and coherent. I wonder might they consider an online forum off the website.

Not before time, especially after the total incompetence of the present and past Governments. The 22% includes A N Others, whatever % that is.

Not to mention the Irish Independent, which isn't.

A disparate rag bag of independents is the last thing we need.

Independent are not exactly a rock of stability. If anything they put a lot of stress on the system by tossing a strop at every single thing.
Give and take is needed for any stable government.
    Independents are all take.

They do put a lot of stress on the party political system, which is a very good thing. Give and take is needed for any stable government the party whip system does make sure there is plenty of take for the people that matter. Independent candidates putting forward a common platform will probably attract a lot of the electorate that don't vote and a lot of the electorate who vote for political partys as the least worst option, the next general election could end up with the domestic troika of treason FF/FG/L not being able to cobble together 84 TD's between them, a government that doesn't contain any of the above would be very tempting for a lot of the electorate.
