    An opinion poll

Could a moderator make one of these to see what impact the election had on people and could an option be "kinda green".

No point making one on website like this where everyone has defined loyalties.

We should get an idea of the green support and where it goes.

It would be better to wait for the next national opinion poll. This is not a representative group in society so the results would be unreliable, Id recon.

I was sad that SBP stopped its monthly REDC polls after the election as I wanted to see what was happening to SF support now that the six county SF Ministers are seen to be getting on with their work and the event of SF getting a senator.

i think its a safe assumption that the impact of the above on SF popularity will be minimal at best as the majority of ppl in ROI (asside from us anoraks) don't really care one jot

back to topic - i think it would be interesting to see the results of such a poll

It would not at all be interesting to see the result of either a poll carried out on this site, to draw any conclusions from would be so completely daft even DL should recognised, or almost as useless a poll based on the 60 or so greens who would be polled.

P.S. was polled myself (can't remember the company though) about a month after the election.

Prepare for FG to go up to 30% if redc do a poll. One on this site would rate SF and pds high at the expense of fg (don't see many fg posters)

Hard to say. The aftermath of the election is still sinking in. I'd wait till the autumn before paying any attention to polls.

So many questions though! Will Green support evaporate, hold or even increase? What will the impact be on FG/Lab voters of the Green "defection" (as they would see it)? Will FF voters be feeling triumphant? Will FF get a significant boost from the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mob, or will opposition to them harden further? Will the voters twig that they've been conned, for the second election in a row, and how will they react to that, with anger or denial? Do the PDs even exist any more? Will the numbers of "a plague on all your houses" voters soar?

Probably a small group with no media connections. It would even be interesting to see the support on this site.
