    REDC/SBP Poll Result 29th January 2011

    FG 30% -2
    FF 18% NC
    SF 17% + 2
    Labour% 14 -1 (SPB just corrected. It's Labour - 1.)
    Ind 21% +1

All margin of error. No change really.
Chrisco and asset test like this.

Very good for Sinn Féin to be on 17%. This is a considerable gain on the General Election result of 9.9%. Steady sustainable growth thesis vindicated.

While for FG this is a decline-quite a decline comared to the GE result. Vindicates my thesis of the here today gone tomorrow problem they have with their support base.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in terms of seats for TDs in dotski_w's analysis.

It is unlikely FF will ever rise beyond 20% after the governments disaster of a week and still no change.

Not much of a cushion for FF to absorb Mahon whenever it comes out.

As I said before, although we all get pretty excited with each poll, I think the public are prepared to be very forgiving of this government, because of the lack of an alternative.

What you are looking at there is +/- 2% the result of the next general election.
Unenthusiastic about any of the buggers.

Mahon will have no effect on FF numbers. If impoverishing us hasn't done it, then a whiff of corruption certainly won't.

Fine Gael lucky to remain on the 30%, Labour have nothing to be happy about, Sinn Feins plan to run McGuinness in the presidential looks to have been a wise move. 7%is a massive jump on the general election, They will be happy.
