Of the current crop of TDs, who have the interests of Ireland as their #1 priority?

I think its fair to say that most TDs prioritise their local popularity, relations, friends, expenses and pensions ahead of their concerns for Ireland as a whole. There have always been notable exceptions.

Of the current crops of TDs, who in your opinion is not self-serving and is primarily concerned with the welfare of the Irish people?

Enda, by a mile. Selflessly making pledges, five point plans, plagiarising Obama speeches, shaking hands with HRM, coming to your living room with Christmas cheer and cycling his rothar around the Ring of Kerry.

    My super hero.

Dublin, Europe's most supportive tourist destination for Peados, thanks to no electronic passport swipe in Dublin Airport. Ireland always facilitates child molestors.

Pearse Doherty, Stephen Donnelly, Michael Noonan. Odd mix.
Why did Minister Phil Hogan drop the independent review into planning irregularities within Dublin and Cork city councils and Carlow, Meath, Galway and Cork county councils ?

Anyone who thinks that opposition politicians ever have the country as their top priority is mad or spectaularly naive. It is mainly people who are serially disappointed when a new government comes in and they don't live up to the false image that they portrayed in opposition who believe this.

An opposition politician who is 'putting the interest of Ireland as their no1 priority ' is like a man in a chip van 'putting the interest of Ireland as their no1 priority'. Neither will waste their time and energy on something over which they have no power. Unlike the man in the chip van, the opposition politician's priority will be to get hold of that power. But still you have legions of fools who will swallow the idea that the likes of Pearse Doherty really would do something different.

As for government - EK I would be confident has, but beyond that I'd say Gilmore's No 1 priority is Labour, Noonan - not sure and the rest are busy watching over their shoulders or watching over the shoulder of someone.
