You cannot be serious man!

Mom and Apple Pie politics, screw the wage earner for everything, and if God forbid, anyone tries to better themselves, nail them to the floor.

The lice in that beard must be affecting you pal.

I know this is slightly off topic but can anyone inform me of the following:

Do TDs pay the USC & PRSI?

No TD prioritises Ireland. They are all self serving, without exception.

I support the immediate jailing until dead of every serving TD and every TD that has ever served in the Dail as well as the Senead, combined with complete asset stripping of those TD's. I also support the same for every developer, banker, financier, barrister and enabler of the cute heur system in Ireland.

Then hold a new election and make clear to the next bunch, that if they don't sort out problems, they get the same.

The TD's have been given nothing but carrot, which has not worked.

Now is the time for the big stick with nails sticking out of the end of it.

Sort of hard to tell from 'current crop of TDs...' 'cos a lot of them aren't allowed to say anything and the ones that are - don't. So who is NOT greedy, bent, asleep, never there, fiddling expenses, hiring relatives, using limos, flying round the world, or just plain bloody useless we may not know for a while. But since it is we who elected them, then let's hope that this, at last, is Ireland's greatest moment, vis-a-vis her politicians......eh? What did y'say???

Happy New Year from the oulde teapot...

Until the electorate stop getting entralled by shiney baubles offered pre-election, the best we can hope for are parties that are irresponsible in opposition and responsible in government.

The optics are appalling to be sure.
And the cynicism and expediency are present.
But so soon!

Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.

Maybe this could be clarified more scientifically on a constituency by constituency basis? I'm in Tipp NR and I can without doubt or fear of contradiction say, that not one of the three in office here, nor the ousted one, have the slightest interest in anything but themselves or being re-elected.
