Higgins was the best of a bad lot. Though in fairness to him, I think that downplays his abilities by comparison. He was easily the best. But think most Labour analysts will know that real gains will depend on other issues, like how they run the country, and how FG fare as their partners in govt and whether FF can resurrect their fortunes.
