To be honest, the FF hysterics on this site is getting extremely dull.
MMcG/SF expected to get 15%. Only a few years ago they were on 2% or whatever. Sour grapes from someone regarding SF voters methinks.

it means that the majority of voters can unite to keep the bagman and the gunman out. However i'm beginning to think that we need a moderately healthy ff to keep the shinners from filling the vacuum that they would leave behind. and vice versa. the vote for sg show however that a lot of voters are determined to ignore what ff has done to this country.

Doesn't this sentence demonstrate my point?

Not at all. I'm married to one. I have no axe to grind.

Fianna Fail have started the long road to recovery after a great performance in the Dublin west bye election. SF will be secretly disappointed on both fronts by there showing and their dirty politics tactic will back fire on them. Fine Gael will be concerned but nothing more than that. labour will realised that they missed out on a massive opportunity at the last election and will regret in come 2016. If they had decided to be the main party of opposition then their would be a huge momentum behind them now. Michael D will be a good president and I for one wish him well
