Already we have seen the cod act on the economy which FF think is going to bail them out. They are strong on the economy???? There is plenty of evidence of it out there independent, international from the economist magazine to the OECD. You have run from cold hard economic facts about your policies on the over reliance on the construstion industry, and like bertie you can't hide.

Some of you lot seem to want the economy to crash? How many years have you been predicting it for?

It's nothing to do with a crash but we want a sustainable economy into the future, which should be the aspiration of every patriotic person. Not a greedy squandering of boom conditions that come about only rarely in any country's history in a global economy. How is Bertie going to sort out this mess?

    - The Iseq has lost 5% of it's value in the last two days
    - AIB are now predicting a fall in house prices of 2% this year
    - ECB rates (not within our control, but still have to be dealt with) are only on their way up, even after the hike today
    - About 70% of the new jobs created last year were either in construction or the public service
    - Virtually nothing is selling out there with the associated impact on VAT receipts and stamp duty. This is in spite of the proposal to backdate stamp duty changes to April 30th.

You've led us to this point in the last ten years, so what next?

It's actually cringe-worthy watching him still unable to concede defeat - what an ego. He was rejected by the people, like his party has ben for 25 tears. Extra seats, it's all swings and round-a-bouts, FG will never be in power again. The real question fron here on is who will be in power with Fianna Fáil

Ridiculous comment - FG will never be in power again.

Well, okay, i retract it, perhaps a Fianna Fáil Government might collapse again, clearing the way for Fine Gael to form a Government, FG certainly won't win an election again.

You don't have to win the majority of the vote to get into govt. I think the political landscape will change dramatically in the next 10-20 years and it's very difficult to predict how future elections will go.

Try reading the Constitution, you idiot.
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.
