    Cowan does an Enda

Shocking performance from Biffo tonight on Prime Time. Bruton had him for supper. Probably too late to influence things but really he looked very rattled.

Enda was never undermined and exposed as Cowan was tonight. He and FF were exposed as liars. (no shock there really!). Get elected at any cost. Friday will tell a tale. I think FF have pushed the tolerance of the electorate too far!

The reason why FF have been so rattled today is because they know data from private polling which has them dropping from 38% to 36%, and the Rainbow parties (FG, Lab and GN) at 47% between them. FF know the poll on Saturday was a rogue poll and they really were on 39%. They have been dropping daily since then. And that 36% doesn't take into account knock-on effects of today's fiascos (an embarrassing news conference; two damaging health stories running all day, one on RTÉ and a different one on Newstalk; Bertie's disastrous Six-One performance and this evening Prime Time proving that FF's ad campaign over the weekend was a lie. A 36% showing would be disastrous; one of the worst in the party's history. The mood in FF among the higher levels in the party was black all day; though the poll data was kept quiet from the election team it did seep out to some people, one of them a HQ person who tipped me off.

In addition, they have found out (as have others) who really leaked stuff about Bertie. It wasn't their day at all.

Somebody should tell the bookies this news because Paddy Power have Ahern hardening at 2-5 compared to evens before said rogue poll.

FF/Green is at 7/2 compared to 11/1 two days ago.

I have to say that today and yesterday have sensed a determination to oust FF from government.

Poll socked the electorate. May have been hidden blessing for Rainbow.

Pray tell! Who really did leak.

BTW the FF add was NOT a lie. It stated that 3% of the people benefit from the FG tax proposal...true...it didn't state that ONLY 3% benefit.

The truth is that the top 3% benefit MOST from FG proposal whilst the lower/medium earners benefit from FF proposal...97%

FF want to cut the top rate of tax. FF have consistently cut the top rate of tax. Who does that benefit?

FG are cutting the standard rate and are giving specific relief to single income families.

More FF lies. FF are worse thn New Labour.
