RDS Count Centre - Any Craic?

This is the first election that I have really got in to. I understand that members of the public are not allowed into the count centre. Is there a viewing gallery?

Alternatively is there a traditional place in the area where people follow the count.

When I lived in France most of the the village would go to watch the count. It was a good atmosphere and tended to get younger people interested in the process.

Do we have anything like that here?

If you contact a candidate and say you would like to go to the count they should be able to fix you up.

    Axl Rose,

every candidate is permitted 15 count passes. So, if you put your
skates on for me, or give me your No. 1, I may be able to include
you in my group. You'll have to canvass on my behalf though.

    Thanks,

E-canvassing! Well I never. At least you might get 15 votes now.

Pity Dublin South is down in Ballinteer. I was in RDS for locals. We were there for 23 hours straight. It was political junkie overload! The best fun I ever had sober!

Generally, people drink in the Horseshow House and Cullens, which are both across the road from the Main Hall of the RDS. You'll get overflow into Crowe's and Bellamy's too.
