Is the effect of weather on the turnout an argument in favour of increasing the numbers of polling stations, to make them easier to get to and from?

I ask this simply because I can't imagine weather having any impact at all on my decision to vote or not, because my polling station is about 150 yards from where I'm registered to vote. I appreciate that not everyone is that lucky, though. What are the average distances? How many polling stations per constituency?
Heavy words are so lightly thrown.

A barmy study in the US showed that existing governments polled better on sunny days. Something to do with a "feel-good" factor. People saying something like: aw shuwks them boys weren't too bad, let bygones be bygones. On rainy days, people saying something like: them miserable so and so's aint no good. Weather forecast: overcast but dry.

    i remember that one !

personally i think a good day = large turnout and as a result more of an anti establishment vote. whereas the party faithfulls turn out even if theres a blizzard.

thankfully tomorrow looks to be a nice day and if the suspected 70% turnout happens we could be seeing some major upsets across the board .

one things for certain. its gonna be great entertainment

I'll say there will be a big result for the government. We might be able to stay above 70 seats. However we'll see with the final results available on Sunday night.
