    Immigration not an election issue

I saw a Millward Brown IMS Poll this evening using a sample of 1,082 adults in the Evening Herald. One of the questions they asked was-- Is Immigration an election issue?

Nationally 50% said it was not an issue. 46% said it was an issue.

Im suprised myself the total wasnt higher. Unless the poll is flawed i guess the silent majority on reducing immigration is actually more like a silent 46% of people.

In the Evening Herald? ....I'm surprised it's that high for such a rag!

FG have made it part of their program for Government so it is an Election issue.

But the other Parties have nor risen to the bait, knowing full well that any criticism of FGs proposals will backfire on themselves. SF in particular are chary of turning off voters if they come clean on what their plans are.

"Nationally 50% said it was not an issue. 46% said it was an issue."

I think that's a very high percentage. A topic that about half the voters consider to be an issue yet no one has been discussing it in the campaign!
    Some democracy.

especially when you consider the media's bias in its favour.

If you're anti-immigration then you are responsible for the holocaust, the slave trade and the starvation/cvil war in whichever African country is currently experiencing famine/civil war. You are also probably a misogynst, a supporter of vivisection, female circumcision, blood sports, angling and are anti-gay marriage.
Now, is immigration an issue for you in the forthcoming election?

If you can show me where someone has accused a person of being in favour of female circumcision and responsible for the holocaust on the basis of their expression of anti-immigration views, I'll happily concede the point. Otherwise I'll stick to my position that you're this is a piece of over-the-top hysterical hyperbole.
