    Are you people nuts?

You think that is more important than Human Rights? I wouldn't mind living in a fvcking shed as long as I knew there was justice, equality and no coercion in my private life.

What about "my right to marry 4 wives" or their right to marry me?

Where does Eamon stand on that one?

The Labour Party would be better to try and make some contact with the Irish Working Class. They really have closed themselves into a small upper middle class bubble.

Actually this could be a good idea, imagine Ireland being the Gay Capital of the World, people flying in from all over to be Married instead of those civil service things.

It would give a massive boost to the tourist industry and bring in Billions of Euro.

The only problem I can see is this never getting a Yes vote in the referendum, too many bog people would vote against it.

Its actually new ideas like this that we need, ideas outside the box.

Its a cynical Election Gimmick by the Labour Party to get in the Gay vote.

The Comrades know perfectly well it wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of being voted through by the Plain People of Ireland!

I'm sure gay people on this Site are smart enough to recognize a stunt like this for what it is.

We have laws that were devised for a situation where a man and a woman get married, had kids only within the marriage and lived together as a family until one of them died (probably of boredom). That is no longer the standard situation.
What we should be doing is accepting this fact and forget about marriage as a legal concept. Have the law treat everyone as individuals. Have some basic rules....like if you have a child you are responsible for its upbringing until they are 18, an adult who has use of an asset without the need to pay for it over time acquires rights to that asset etc.
Why is marriage a matter for the state?

Personally, Im in favour of gay marriage, or even letting people be married to more than one person at the same time. But, with the Working Class being under threat of extermination through forced emigration, this is not the time to start talking about a costly and distracting referendum.

Yea, sure why don't we turn the country into one giant brothel and drug factory while were at it, that will really get the tourists rolling in.
