That reminds me of the result of the INES after 2002 where 6% of the electorate describe themselves as party voters first and foremost while also claiming they would follow their candidate (i.e. still vote number 1) if they moved to a different party. Its OT but humourous.Originally Posted by barryW

Red Rover...the blog
Interesting that all the attention has been focused on the fact that 51% favour a coalition involving FF, and 36% favour a coalition involving FG.
One figure that seems to have slipped under the radar a little, is that 44% of respondents favoured a government involving Labour, with Labour alternatives picking up support from all areas (including 26% of PD supporters!)

Well i think people say this now but if you look around europe all the parties that are in power are unpopular at the moment.
But you cant deny the progress that Ahern has made there is a rate of 1000 new jobs a week in Ireland and he has cut taxes to the cost of 5 billion euros and he has doubled education funding.
So if you look at it i think when it comes to election day the result will go in FFs favor.
26% of PD supporters? So that's about 12 people, right? :wink:Originally Posted by stretchneil
