You seriously believe that because PPS numbers don't measure outflow that they are to be abandoned in favour of a methodology that uses one question once a year in an employment survey co-opted for the purpose - the QNHS? And how does the QNHS - a sample survey - measure outflow from the country rather than movement elsewhere within the country? Are you seriously suggesting that the previous analyses and questions put forward are rubbish simply because the PPS numbers don't measure outflows? Do you too subscribe to the 'apples and oranges' theory of these different measures? I'll tell you this - the CSO's explanations are wholly inadequate and their desire to deflect questioning of these issues by using the 'apples and oranges' theory in relation to the only hard data we have in the inter-censal period is facile and evidently so to a truly enquiring mind.

In fact, why do I bother since you all have your mammies-boys tongues stuck firmly up the rear-end of whatever 'authority' you think its best to associate yourselves with. None of you have shown any interest in actually getting to the bottom of this issue, despite its urgency ghiven our relatively small population. None of you have invoked the testimony of immigrants themselves for example, like to Polish journalist on Primetime Debates the other night who said that according to his paper's research there are 250,000 Poles in Ireland at the moment, not 63,000. Or the Chinese who reckon there's 100,000 of their number, not 11,000 as the establishment would have you believe.

None of you have questioned the line you've been given or the inadequacy of the statistics peddled to you by the powers that be. None of you have enquired about the continued or discontinued use of PPS numbers and tax returns, the number of non-Irish children enrolled in schools nationally, the number of foreigners enrolled in English-language schools who remain after their visa is up, the rate of discovery of cross-border illegal immigration, the marketing research used by the likes of Evening Herald Polski, the Polish and Chinese newspapers, immigrant radio stations and the like to justify their advertising rates to prospective advertisers. There are a number of different ways that the government and the public could access a much more accurate insight into the numbers of foreigners here but those ways are not being pursued.

And then there's the PPS numbers and what realistic conclusions we can draw from them. For example, 59,000 PPS numbers have been issued in the last 4 months alone.

But what's the point, you're all a bunch of facile-minded easily pacified shower of arseh*les anyway who only know denial and 2nd rate thinking. F*ck off.
