    crazy politics people, crazy......

Ì am an englishman (in cork) and i am learining all the time about irish politics.

I've just had Michael Aherns brother (FF) on the door step and i would like to share some of the main (ff)viewpoint this gentleman shared with me.

*Bertie is no more corrupt than the next man so big deal!
*Its unfair to drag up any (bertie/money) stuff which is 20years ago
*Bertie can't say anything until the mahon tribuneral
*This country has never had it so good under ff
*This country only prospers under FF and is a proven historical fact
*Whenever any other group gets in, the country go's to sh1t.
*if the greens get in, were doomed
*Labour can't keep thier story straight and keep changing to suit the tide
*if FG/G/L are elected, the developers and industry in this country will leave in there droves
*Sf are a bunch of lliterate knackers who can't put two words together, hence the local SF candidate was missing from a local radio debate (96fm)
*the reasons hospitals and schools are overcrowded is because the size of the population ebbs and flow every five years, it is impossible to manage this ebb and flow, hence every five years hospitals and schools cycle between empty and full
*the economy and housing market is booming and there will be no housing slump or economic slowdown as long as FF are in charge

    I'm not anti ff, but
Oh my god, is this the quality and standard of free thought in this country?
Did this man think i really am an idiot?

do you lot buy this bull$hit.??

    scary indeed

You've made 5 posts so far. Here's the thrust of some of them in italics below.

Don't let "Berties Team" get away with the brown envelope/nepatist/criminal/incompetant abuse of power which has been going on for 10 years
vote for anybody, but not FF

Isn't bertie supposed to clarify his financial bull**** before friday (today?)
or is he taking us for muppets again?

suitcases full of cash for stamp duty?

come on ireland, wake up. berties taking the pi$$

I have witness your goverment abuse and insult the irish public since i came here to stay. Ireland is worth more than that.

Very patronising and arrogant but stop telling lies. You are utterly anti-FF.
A P.ie moderator stated this on June 25th 2010: P.ie tolerates very broad free speech, and thus allows sectarian bigotry etc

    Patronising?
    arrogant?
    Lies?

    i'm not anti FF.
    i can't be, i don't know enough about them.

don't know what to say to you really, sorry you feel like that.
Maybe i should just shut up.

I've just copied the post where you stated vote for anybody, but not FF. It's in italics and bold below. Can you see it? I think that line might just possibly, maybe hint at a slight aversion to FF.

Listen, that type of FF attitude that you got at your front door is typical, they are arrogant, and to be quite honest they would sell children to slavery if they thought it would get them votes, hopefully a full judgement will be given in the next 2 weeks and we will see a change of government.

But you just supported the anecdotal 'evidence' of a man who has just been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a liar. If you ask me FG is as bad as FF.

    actually,

after thinking about that reply, i'd like you to retract calling me a liar.
i'm not, and have no reason to be.
I'm giving an honest account of what was said to me, and i am trying to express my amazement.

My posts so far have not been particullaly FF except that the majority of coruption and Vested intrests in politics is from FF. so the co-incidence.

i've spoke to a local SF candidate and found him to be very articulate.
I spoke to FG david stanton and was impressed with the cut of his Jib.
I have not met a Green member yet , but TS speaks well.

    As i said, i'm learning.

But i suspect Kev, your playground politics is best suited to the FF party, hence my vote may not be in that direction.

I find this election so far to be a bit of a damp squid.
    No doubt to Berties favour.

No we are not, we don't have a list of

    Ahern
    Haughy
    Lawlor
    Burke
    Cahlilly
    Flynn
    Cooper Flynn
    Wright
    Mcdaid

    need I go on.....

FG had Lowry, but is no longer a member of FG, FF have been corrupt since the late 60's, FG don't have confrimed liar as leader who accepted money and then appointed those people to state boards, FG don't have a leader that took money from the party to spend on himself, FG don't have a leader that had a business man leave a house in a will to him, FG don't have a leader who signed blank state cheques without asking what they were for, FG don't have leader who has corruption hanging over his head all of the time. FG have different standards, our TD's don't support corrupt liars unlike FF who embrase them!

You seem to be confused Superpiper. If Michael Ahern's brother came to your door canvassing on his behalf then you are in Cork East. You also mentioned being impressed with David Stanton, but then you said you spoke to the local SF candidate and found him to be very articulate. The Sinn Féin candidate in Cork East is a woman, Cllr. Sandra McClellan.
