    Rate My TD.com

    Hi all,

I've just finished development on a site called ratemytd.com.

The site does what it says on the tin - allows you to rate your TD (and candidates) in terms of corruption, competence, vision etc etc, and to comment on them. You'll need to register to create an account (free, requires genuine email address) to do so.

It also contains Dáil speaking records for the 29th Dáil, expenses 2005/2006, register of interests, and political donations. I'm currently working on TD voting records, and I hope to add a debate search engine, to allow you to find who said what.

For the first few days, I'll do my best to respond to any (sensible) suggestions for improvements.

Let me know what you think - I'm opening the site here because, strangely, it may be of interest to you all. If anyone wants to give me some free publicity, feel free to do so!

Nice work ibis. Looks sweet and professional.

Although the map page isn't displaying right in Firefox. Seems fine in IE.

Works for me in Firefox. Excellent idea and the site layout is very good. Will be difficult to get honest ratings however.

Fair play....... great idea and good layout. Salt might be right though, a few too many questions. Would take you ages to fill out your whole constituency. Other than the number of questions its A OK!

Nice idea, but how can you protect it from party hacks giving their candidates 10 out of 10 for everything?

It seems very slow at the moment - too many hits?

I can't log in or use it.

Yeah definitely agree that there are way too mamy questions. And I don't think there's a need for the "how ---- do you think they should be" questions.
