    Socialists & Smiling

What is it with the SP and looking as dour as funk in all their election posters? Clare Daly just looks like she smelled a dead rat's ************************e or something. Last I checked there were no plans to implement smiling charges.

SF on the other hand all have big smiley heads on them, especially Daithí Doolan. Lad looks like he just won 1st prize at his school's sports day.

Theres nothing funny about the upcoming socialist revolution.
She has made a pact with Joe not to smile until the shackles have been thrown off the proletariat.

The socialists have banned smiling, they fear it will lead to dancing.

Oh for feck sake, what nonsence. Oh yes "the socialists don't believe in smiling, it will only jeopardise the revolution'. Perhaps when it comes to posters, they realise that there is more than cheesy grins involved. However, I might suggest that some people here might get to know (shock horror) some SP people. When I was in college, I was quite friendly with doh and 2 other SP people (including a girl who ran for election in Limerick) and none of them had a problem with smiling or even laughing.

I have my differences with the SP, mainly over their bizarre stance on the 6 counties, but this constant mocking of what is a good, community based party is a little pathetic. Personally, I'm more interested in substance than fecking smiles.

Oh and I tell you another thing, I bet their posters are a lot better than the FF billboards where Bertie's 'smiling' face is super-imposed. Very Ceaucescu-ish.

I rest my case, If you had some yourself, you wouldn’t need to feck them, would you.

    Well thats cleared up then.
Some Socialists do smile, and if they see a Capitalist trip on a banana skin, they may even laugh.

Maybe the posters were smiling until they saw a PD looking at them.

You know, like the pictures in Harry Potter?

Laughing can only be sanctioned by central council subsequent to a two-thirds majority decision of the Peoples Community Action Group Against Racism, Bin Charges & Capitalism. Forms need to be signed in triplicate on the third tuesday of months beginning with the letter M, S or J by a fully unionised representative using a blue pen and his/her right hand. Failure to comply with officially sanctioned demarcation will result in a 27 minute work stoppage by all Socialist Party representatives.

Do this in memory of Che. Amen.
