Drove from Wexford to Dublin this morning, through the rain forest of posters along the N11, through Stillorgin and into the city centre. For every 100 posters bearing the Taoiseach's image their was only one of the alternative's visage? I wonder why.............. 8)

All posters of Bertie too, not the candidates in Tipp South, so not sure when those ones will arrive. They have a few really big billboards mind, especially Siobhan Ambrose and Mattie.

Phil Prendergast is leading the way when it comes to quantity of posters. She has literally thousands of posters. There must definitely be an issue of election spending regarding this. 3,000 posters would cost around €15,000 minimum, and that leaves very little for other election expenditure.

From my own point of view, we have been postering for the past week, and will be postering right up into next week. 500 in total.

We were out the blocks early on Sunday morning at our end. By midday Lowry had the horseboxes out and were fast on our tail. By last night it was honours even between Coonan and Lowry on the poster front my side of TN, nothing from FF yet.

Labour seem to have a serious job done on getting Prendergast posters up along the borderlands into TS, from what I could gather.

I was in Two Mile Borris at a fund raiser for Seamie Saturday night, and I have to admit, at that point, Coonan was well in front of the posse from what I could see.

I heard that Seamie did a fair job in Nenagh mind.

Will we be calling Noel Coonan 'Deputy' after 3 weeks time, or will he still be plain oul 'Noel'?

I'd imagine "Deputy" Noel Coonan. And more power to him

Aye, if he does it he deserves it.
He's been toiling away for years after Lowry was thrown out, and took our organisation with him.
He's a model for other prospective FG candidates.
Fair play to you ROC for the kind words regarding Noel. You're not all bad really

Noel's always been alright to me when we've crossed paths (as irregular as that has been), and from reports by my Northern brethern, both he, and his wife are good reps. They respect the concept of public duty, and are open enough to respect others like myself, despite having different political backgrounds. I have good time for anyone like that.

Political diversity is good. I've good time for a lot of Tipp South FG people as well, like Jack Crowe and Michael Fitzgerald to name a few, and think Derry Foley will be a good TD in time if he sticks at it, and that again despite being almost fundementally opposed to a lot of what he says.

The problem (in my mind and my opinion), is that an awful lot of very good honest decent FG people, are ruined in reputation, by a small but influential few gob.... (i'll stop now)

Once again, best of look to Noel, and CJ better be buying me a pint for saying it.

No sign of Sinn Féin or Geraghty.
Geraghty was in Cavan assisting in the demolition of Roscommon (groan). Judging by the cheer he got when he came on he might be a dark horse for a seat.
