Who voted FF in 2007 election.

All across the newspapers , TV , radio and the web we have a huge out pouring of dislike against FF. No one seems to be willing to admit to even voting for them in the last general election but maybe as many as 50% cast a vote in their favour in 2007. I think anyone who comes on radio , Tv or on the web to vent against the FF should be asked the question weather they voted for the them (even a preference). How many people here on PIE are willing to admit to voting for our slave masters?

I am interested to see what kind of response you get to this question, pinemartin. Having seen the writing on the wall two years prior to that, I'd got out by 2007 and didn't vote at all. I was happy to see the demise of the PDs but was bitterly disappointed by Harney's re-election, knowing that the spineless jellyfish in FF would give her Health again.

Who cares, they cant change their vote now. Fianna FAIL still have 22% support. People voted for King Bertie knowing exactly what he was up to, and now they have the cheek to complain. HO HO HO HO HO HO HO

FF's biggest mistake was that they didn't call a halt to the behaviour of the people, lose the 2007 election as a result and let FG/Labour into power to let the people continue with the credit madness - and now we'd all be saying "FG/Labour , shoulda learned from their carry-on in previous governments, never again!!"

I voted for them last time, would not do so now. That said if an election was called tomorrow I probably would not vote, I have no left leanings at all which severely limits my options and have no faith in FG/Enda. All in all a bad situation.

I think the criticism of FF tends to be a lot more restrained on RTE & in the mainstream media. It's a lot more robust and unfettered online.
In RTE in particular, there seems to be a failure to call a spade a spade and say "these guys have destroyed the country". It's like a rather whopping elephant in the room.
It's unlikely FF would have had such success over the past 10 years without such docile and fawning enablers in the national media ( and they have the nerve to call it "public service broadcasting" ).

On the other point, yes, it's hard to find anyone who will admit to voting for them in 2007 - and yet over 800,000 did!
