Heney only got a quater of the usual GE quota plus I don't think FF will run her. O'Riordain will do well but he has not been active in the area in the area since June of last year whereas McGrath sents out regular newsletters and is seen as active.

Devins to go if he even gets the nomination. If Marc MacSharry runs I think he'll take that seat.

If McLoughlin (FG) runs I think he'll take the seat and the final to go between the Ballymote duo Scanlon and Perry.
Agree with name of McLoughlin for a seat but not MacSharry. There is more sh1t coming down the track in the commercial courts re: Saehan to damage him. Scanlon will get the second seat. The last seat may well be a surprise especially if O’Keefe runs for LP as she has got the taste for the hustings since Euros and Lisbon.
Between Bree’s and SF’s ( probably a MacManus of some description, no doubt ) transfers and Marian Harkins reservoir, albeit limited, of sympathetic feminist voters, she could sneak in between Perry and MacSharry.

Hopefully the people of Sligo and disenfranchised Leitrim will finally cop themselves on dispite Devins and Scanlons SGH charade, and realise that they better have themselves 2 TD's from the next FG/LP coalition government.
Best of a bad lot I suppose..

Interesting comment. I'm curious as to why you think Eamon will make it in before Marc? Marc has a cleaner record in regards to SGH and of course the Daddy factor could come into play. He also had the connections with West Sligo. But then again I suppose how many people know/see Marc around? He was never involved in local politics which is a disadvantage especially in this great constituency of ours.

To be honest I accept we'll loose a seat hear but if it goes to Labour I don't mind. However if FG make a gain and Perry is still in the Dáil I shall go mad

    1. Henry is not her son.

    2. Pat was her brother.

    3. I hope Eric does not get in.

    4. Mary Upton will get in.

Do you think O'Snodaigh will hold on to his seat?

I'm in Dublin SC and will say what I think.

Labour will get 2 seats no problem, both candidates will have over a quota. FG should just about have 1 too. FF are dead here, they got zero local election seats and a tiny vote. Ardagh's son was spanked too, which is nice to see. I think PBP and SF will both get in. Dublin SC to return zero FF seats.

Margaret Conlon is despised in Monaghan as I have said in a previous post. The closure of the hospital is laid at her door and not o hanlons and rightly so considering the tripe she produced pre - 2007. She will not retain her seat at the next election unless sinn fein and fine gael completely f*ck up. She was actually mentioned in the local paper as potemtial junior minister stuff ... even with the bunch of misfits in ff she would still be an embarassment amongst them.

I could easily see PBP splitting over some ideological issue or other. The in-fighting amongst Trotskyist groups over the most minute tactical and ideological deffernces (remember that massive row in RESPECT in England) is frequent. You've to hand it to Joe Higgins keeping the Socialist Party largely intact even if it is largely confined to Fingal.

O'Snodaigh is heavily dependent on transfers. He's ok though if he can absorb a good chunck of the pissed-off FF vote and get Labour/PBP transfers.

It's one of the constituency where there will certainly be no change.
Any other contenders are pretty much from the same pools. Voting for Dustin might be the only option.
