To say that's not even remotely close to the likely portfolios is an understatement. LP got a better share out in the days that they only had 15 TDs - you've not even got all the portfolios (Foreign affairs out, children is a 'super-junior' etc). Rabbitte getting Agriculture, LP getting no economic or big spend social portfolios (Gilmore getting nothing other than Tanaiste) Ring, Naughton and O.Mitchell getting full cabinet positions ....

I could go on, but I've probably wasted enough time commenting. A very poor effort.

One obvious error here-Gilmore would have a Ministry Tut Tut. Also where is Ruari Quinn?

I wouldn't expect a FG/Lab government to do away with the whole geography of cabinet that Fianna Fail so love. That cabinet contains not a single TD from Munster (where FG and Labour already are only 1 short of a majority of TDs) and very few from outside the Dublin area.

From Fine Gael, Simon Coveney, Michael Creed, and Paul Bradford (if he wins his seat back), would all be in the mix for cabinet positions. Not so sure that any of the Labour TDs in Munster make the grade. I can't see Kathleen Lynch or Brian O'Shea in cabinet. Ciaran Lynch and Sean Sherlock are still relatively inexperienced. Jan O'Sullivan is the best of an unlikely lot.

Two cabinet posts in Mayo and 2 in Laois/Offaly - never going to happen. And if we're down to the likes of Ring and Enright we really are shagged.

Lab will have options after the GE, FG wont, so it's unlikely that Gilmore will settle for 4 cabinet posts and he'll almost certainly insist on Finance.
