    Vincent Browne?

Do you ever watch his show? He hates FG, ever since failing to get nominated by them years ago...

and I can't see FG allowing Hook to go up for them.

I would think, after her local election performance, that Aoife Brennan should have a reasonable shot at getting the nomination. Would personally rate her higher than Corrigan.

    Sure Maria Corrigan.

Maybe the media and the electorate won't bring up her relationship with Bertie's pal Joe Burke.

He's no longer the boss of Dublin Port and the suicide attempt was a long time ago.

The DPP dropped the charges of sexual harassment too.

Maybe people will have forgotten all about all this and the way Bertie got her into the Senate.

She would be well advised to keep her powder dry on this one, FF would still be in 3rd place there at the moment and she would be well placed come the GE. If she runs and under-performs this time she could knock herself out of the running for the GE ticket.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

Gay Mitchell might be the way to go, though I reckon that O'Leary deserves a shot based on his track record and ability.

If O'Leary doesn't get the nod this time there is no justice! although I think White will get in with FF transfers.

As far as I am aware, Maria is single as has been for a while. Her former relationship with Joe Burke is FORMER. So his actions should have no impact on her.

As for Bertie got her into the Seanad, thats what a Taoiseach does- he nominates 11 people to serve in Seanad Éireann.

Maria is an excellent public rep. A kind, compassionate, hard working and capable person.

I don't know if I'll bother voting. I'll wait until the general election as this seat doesn't make a difference.

On the plus side I get to give abuse to the politicans as they canvass by the Luas stop

But her outings in previous dail elections was poor at a time when FF were doing very well. I expect it will be a Brennan
