Will we now have 2 by-elections and who will win?

Obviously the Government will have the Donegal and Dublin by-elections on the same day now, what does this mean for the parties involved, who are the likely winners?

Brennan would have a decent case to be put forward again in Dublin for FF. He could have the argument "I was here for you last time, and I'm here this time, my area, my city etc etc" He'd have more chance than any other FFer against whatever FG throw in there. I'd still stick cash on FG to take it though, but by an obviously smaller majority and a much smaller turnout.

There is an opportunity for FF to move the Donegal writ shortly. They could do so to take advantage of FG's troubles. The warrant for Liam Adams should be issued shortly which would cause some difficulty for SF. I don't think FF have a better opportunity to win a by-election.

In Dublin, Alex White will walk it.

This will be used as an excuse to defer the Donegal by-election even further.

Labour to win Dublin South. Alex White will finally have his day.

Donegal: I called it for FG on another thread but now I'm not so sure. I could actually see FF winning this one, believe it or not. Or SF. Or FG. It's a question of transfers. SF and FG hate each other, but the voters might have other ideas, who knows.
When I see the candidates I'll have a better idea.
If there is a future, it will be Green.

Meaning they'll be there like hold on and we'll have them both togethter. Not before summer. Maybe wait and have them with the Dublin Mayoral election.

I've decoded that and it makes sense. Thanks.

Your point on Donegal is kind of damaged by your belief that there's going to be a 8500 person swing to Labour in Dublin South. That's patently ridiculous.
