SF will either remain how they are or lose a seat, I simply cant see them ever breaking into the south electorate.

As time goes on the harder it will become for them.

I think people in the south would rather have one of their larger parties representing a Republican viewpoint than supporting SF's.

On a personal level..he's a great bloke...very dedicated!( I am not a shinner...but have a lot of time for Sean)

But....SF would only regain if Sean runs!

As for returning no ff.....remains to be seen.....Conor has strong support down in templeogue etc....Charlie may be a goner!!
I disagree with Crowe winning the seat. Considering the last local elections, as the only SF candidate in his area he did nothing spectacular considering just how left the vote went there.

There is a FF seat here; Charlie "Tallaght" O'Connor I feel seems to pull a more personal vote than Conor Linehan. Linehan is strong in Templeogue, but if the locals are anything to go the FF vote collapsed here and I think that it may be Linehan that could be in more danger than O'Connor.

Hayes is a certainty, but there is only one FG seat here either.

Rabbite is also a certainty and Labour should be able to make a gain here at the expense of FF. Mick Duff being the obvious candidate.

DSW – Hayes, Rabitte, O’Connor, Duff.

    Do you promise?
Yet, although it may seem a paradox to say so, there is no party so incapable of achieving practical results as an orthodox political party; and there is no party so certain of placing moderate reforms to its credit as an extreme - a revolutionary party...Don't be "practical" in politics. To be practical in that sense means that you have schooled yourself to think along the lines, and in the grooves those who rob you would desire you to think.

I would think that SF are in with shouts in both Donegal constituencies.

Both their candidates were only about 1,000 votes off getting seats in constituncies with 2 FF to 1 FG TD's and with the Blaney/ Independant FF vote having been very strong up there I would think that a lot of the FF votes would be likely to go to SF over any other parties.

The only way Sinn Fein can get extra seats is to get a increase in new voters. The current electorate have been so brainwashed by media and the establishment that there is no way they can make much ground. Hopefully we will see a increase in the Sinn Fein TDs but I cannot see more than 6 seats.

It really is impossible to call any seat for anyone at the moment as public opinion seems to change regularly and their is the possibility that out of fear people will once again vote FF.For SF I can't see them dropping below were they are and they have at least 6 other decent chances, the best of these is Dessie Ellis in DNW who is never going to have a better chance than now.MLM is standing in DC and has probably only an decent outside chance.

Other than that it will not be easy for them.
It will be FF kicking time, but I can't see SF picking up much from the ABFF vote. You either love them or you think they're a bit sus.
However unless people vote tactically as ABFF then we all know what the result will be.....FF and coalition partners.

What Sinn Fein needs to achieve at the next election is to obtain the 7 seats to get recognition as a full party then they will become a major thorn in the side of the new government. They can build from there then.

I think Maureen O Sullivan will be vunerable in Dublin central next time out. Really got her victory on the back of Tony gregorys death. It Is defo a left seat and its a pity Christy Burke took the path he did. If He stands he may only open the door to FG by splitting the left vote again.
SF have to break the seven seat No. to break the establishment media hostilityand of course the RTE hostility.

What are the prospects for SF next GE?
Will they keep their 4 seats?
Will they get anywhere up to 10?
    Dublin Central ???

    They came nowhere close!

Personally I hope they get wiped -

totally useless bunch of spoofers IMO.

They actually voted to bail out the Bankers - and try to make out they are a 'Left Wing'Party!
