where you getting 2048 from? Should it not be 20*19*18 etc till 11 ?

    Edit, forgot to divide by 11 * 10 * 9 * 8 * 7 etc

    A wee calculator here.

    I'd be surprised if it wasn't 167960.
However, banks know they have a duty of care to their clients and I'm sure that this should prevent them lending irresponsibly.

A few years ago ago, when I (successfully) did Honors Math for the Leaving, I could have told you. We did lots of problems like that.

    Today, I haven't a clue.

Yet I remember the Irish language I did for Leaving Cert, and use the language every day.

Which was more useful to me?

Factorial. Been a few years since I used it. Can't remember if it is factorial or simply number of choices multiplied by itself the number items to be picked times.

This is a combination, so order doesn't matter:

    = 20! / (9! . 11!)

    20*19*18*17*16*15*14*13*12*11*10*9 / 11*10*9*8*7*6*5*3*3*2 gives the answer?
