School Leader: School Discipline to suffer due to cutbacks

The embargo on replacing retiring post holders to hit schools.

Schools' leader warns of collapse in discipline - National News, Frontpage - Independent.ie

School discipline -its decline has been on agenda for years as the touchy feely/left wing have taken over. Basically we have emphaised the rights of a minority to cause mayhem in classrooms without any serious counter balancing of responsibilties to the majority who want to learn. The anti teacher obsessives on this site always say the unions never raise this issue but they do. The obssesives are just selective, as too are the media whose anti-teacher bile they swallow without question. By and large middle management in schools do an excellent job. There are few pointless posts these days (unlike days of yore) and its unjust to expect people to do the job for free. But of couse you will have the obsessives claim we should because of their mantra of long holidays. I have acccepted the justice of the levy but this is a bridge too far.

Many parents and the liberal left have abdoned doing anything serious about the unruly so I have no desire to paper over their failings

Common sense would indicate that discipline in the classroom will suffer as a result of the cutbacks.

Your nonsense, however, is so far off the mark to actually be laughable.
