    knowledge economy me (black) hole.....

    Given that we arent in CERN, and that that has significant negative consequences for high end physics research in Ireland, doesnt that alone show that the FF education policy is itself a strange particle....?

    As a lecturer of mine used to say: 'Just because it has "nano" in its name doesnt mean we should be subsidising it to no end'.

    Yep. But to be not at all involved, except by guess and by god and by good graces of some scientists giving irish researchers crumbs from the table? I suspect that FF think CERN - nuclear- were agin that....
    They're a bunch of scientific illiterates in power who have no interest in real high level education other than in property speculation

    Yep. Only q is how people pay - direct via fees or indirect via taxes. Matter of interest - Would SF be into Ireland joining CERN?
