Porn Spam and the Coinman

I was rushing to a meeting and decided to use a 'coinman' internet service - (never again) :-(

I go check the blog and clear the spam in the mornings :

1. Three spam in the queue.
2. I went into moderation to hit the delete spam, (which means you do not have to read or open it)
3. Before I even got to the 'Not spam' or 'Delete all' option , the kiosk was s-e-c-u-r-e-d.
4. Advice from a pal was : get the feckers to pull the plug on the machine.
5. Now I like cursing a lot, I put a variety of purple prose on blogs/even P.ie , so there are
a few curses scattered hither and anon on the blog- but I did not imagine that they would attract
a porn spam outfit that included what looked like seventy or eighty odd links- I mean, are people that
addicted to hardcore consumer type porn ?

So- For the sin of not opening the spam links but having a word recognition bot (or something) hoovering
the site- my account was secured and I had to contact wordpress and have a f***ing machine pulled.

This is not a good way to start a day. computers and bots do not get the context of a statement,
a bit like the Bush regime which does not recognise anything that is not either creationist or
presbetyerian . (sic)

I don't have a penis.

I have a boy's name and am assuming that I don't get a ton of bikini wax stuff, candida stuff or female
viagra cos computers have a gender problem- or those that apply the simple science of nomenclature
to their spamming probs.

Good lord- if I were a guy I would be v-e-r-y insecure , if all it's about is the size of yer ..
(ok am not finishing that sentence- I feel like FR Ted , when he cannot stop)

Wordpress have been excellent- I had three mails today from them asking what was wrong,
taking a look at the site/filter &c.

So all passes were changed and the plug was pulled. anyone gets serious spam attax , report it
to service provider (cos they need to know). The general system filter is askimet and seems ok.
I have not checked out upgrades or anything like that , because the blog was just being developed.

The other system that I used this a.m en route out is ************************e btw- cos it shut everything
down instead of filtering it , thus leaving my site open to whatever fecking electronic and
or human engineer was set to investigate the problem. The site filter on normal PC's fences
off the spam so you do not have to open it, whereas word recognition on the coinman system
just performs an auto shutdown without the user being able to delete spam attacks by themselves.

(which is half the point of having a blog- being able to do the muck out of the horsehite)
