Deaths in Irish Schools v American Schools

Just recently, a young fella shot 17 students at an American university, and eventually 7 (including himself) died. Just last year, 33 died at Virginia Tech from school shootings, and it is fairly common to have at least one or two school shootings a week in the US - but are only really reported if they hit the double digits.
I don't really think this happens in Ireland at all. Sure there is violence, involving knives probably. But I wonder, has there actually ever been any school shootings in Ireland? Any school deaths?
Ireland is free for another day.

No gun deaths as far as I know in any school north or south associated with school activity. There have been cases of school bus drivers assasinated in the Northduring the troubles

Also cases of pupils being bored to death by uninterested demotivated teachers who wish they were in the private sector but sadly lack the talent/skills/ability to forgo 12 weeks holiday per year.
Alcohol doesn't solve any problems. Then again, neither does milk.

That's unfair on teachers, they have to put up with a lot of hassle from young thugs, a lot from single parent families, the lack of a stable family causes big behavioral problems, which teachers have to put up with.
